Coconut Mojito Recipe

A coconut mojito is a variation of the traditional mojito cocktail that is made by adding coconut flavor or coconut water to the recipe. Coconut water is a good source of electrolytes, potassium and magnesium and has been known for its hydrating properties. Like the traditional mojito, a coconut mojito would also contain lime juice, mint, and sugar, which are generally considered to be healthy in moderate amounts.
Coconut is a good source of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) that are easily digested and used as energy by the body. MCTs may help to increase feelings of fullness and weight loss.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 5 piece mint leaves (5-6 or as per taste)
  • 2 oz coconut water
  • 1/3 cup ice
  • 2 cup mint sprig and lime wheel for garnish (as per taste)

Instructions
 

  • In a shaker or glass, muddle the mint leaves and lime juice together.
  • Add the rum, simple syrup, and coconut water, and shake or stir to combine.
  • Fill a glass with ice and pour the mixture over the ice.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig and a lime wheel.
  • Enjoy your refreshing and healthy coconut mojito!

Notes

You can also use coconut milk or coconut cream instead of coconut water, it will give a creamy texture to the drink. You can adjust the sweetness as per your taste. And also you can muddle some fresh coconut meat or flakes in the drink as well, which will give it a more coconutty flavor.
